Paul C. Spitzer, Founding Partner, Advanced Practice Advisors, is an Investment Advisor Representative of APA. As a 30 year investment professional, Spitzer has focused on providing his clients with the highest quality financial services; specializing in investment policy preparation, advanced planning and sophisticated asset allocation disciplines, with a focus on retirement planning. His clients include a diverse group of corporations, institutional investors and HNW individuals.
The majority of Spitzer’s career was spent at A. G. Edwards (later WFC) where he passed the rigorous requirements of their trust and estate planning programs. Additionally, he initiated and concluded two IPO’s and follow-up offerings valued at over $100M, for which he earned the prestigious President’s
and Chairman’s Council Appointments at AGE.
Spitzer earned his BA at Idaho State, and as a former college basketball player and avid fan, he co-created “Sixth Man Night” at the University of San Diego. He also has served as a volunteer assistant coach at Cathedral Catholic HS in Carmel Valley. As a member of the Silver Medal Basketball Team at the 2005 Senior Olympics, held in Edmonton, Canada, Spitzer fulfilled a life-long goal of participating in this event.
Spitzer is on the United States Committee for the Fiduciary Standard, the North County Trust & Estate Planning Council, and the Southern CA Compliance Group. He has had several interviews published in The Wall Street Journal, Registered REP, the Union Tribune and other industry trades. Paul and his wife, MaryBeth Brown reside in La Quinta, CA where they are avid golfers and fitness enthusiasts.
